FCOH Make a wish upon a star gift distribution
Our 1st Annual Make A Wish Upon A Star Christmas Gift Distribution event, so many children and families were blessed! We collected over $15000+ worth of gifts for 22 kids! Praise God!:-) Our wish granters were so very generous! They donated multiple gaming chairs, at least 10 bikes, a Chromebook, android tablet, coats/hats/gloves for nearly every child, shoes, boots, beautiful quality clothes, toys, games, and more! It was truly a blessing and an honor to see the gratitude and disbelief of the parents. To see the tears and receive the hugs of appreciation and relief as this weight (the weight of not knowing how they were going to bless their kids for Christmas) was lifted, was truly a sight to see. We wait with tiptoe anticipation to see how God will outdo Himself next year!
We would like to extend a special thank you to Pike Lamar Services for allowing us to host the event in their facility! Your space was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly! We can’t wait to have another event at your beautiful location!
Last, but not least, thank you to all the volunteers who helped us set up/clean up, purchased gifts, helped to separate the items, helped to put together items, helped to wrap items, and those who gave monetary donations to the organization! We are truly grateful for your generosity and the giving of your time and energy! Thank you for putting others first! Thank you for giving back!

Money Makeover Carnival

FCOH Money Makeover carnival
FCOH’s Money Makeover Carnival was a lovely success! We are grateful for the partnership with LCS District Parent Advisory Council for this event and to No Limits Anesthesia, LLC for its sponsorship of the event! Thank you Events by Lei for decorating! Thank you EP Roberts Center for allowing us the use of your facility! We were blessed by the presence of our attendees, guest speakers, Board Members, volunteers and vendors! Great raffle prizes were given out including a $50 VISA gift card, multiple copies of Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover book and Act Your Wage Board games, Financial Peace Jr. kits and books for the kids, Gas cards, and more! Budgeting techniques, College 529 plans, benefits of having a checking account vs. utilizing a check cashing facility were shared! In addition, it was a true blessing to bless one recipient with entrance into Financial Peace University!

1ST ANNUAL BOOK DRIVE & BOARD MEMBERS MEET & GREET
It was such a blessing to BE A BLESSING ! Wonderful people with a heart for children donated over 3000 books for our first ANNUAL book Drive! Every child who attended was able to take a book home! Many people left with raffle prizes and everyone left with a swag bag! We pray that every person who attended felt loved and welcomed! Only because of the awesome Board Members of FCOH Kristi Mathis, Erin Ham, Patricia Allen, Pastor Broderick Combs, Gloria Barnes, & Tiffany World and the amazing people who volunteered at our event today Angela O'Neal, Christie Jones O'Neal, Charlotte O'Neal, Geneva Eddington Dennis Eddington Tommy Stewart, Damari Carter Lei O’Neal, Ja'Darius Jay D Banks, James Ham & Jyquan Davis were we able to host a successful event today! Thank you! Thank you for your time, your presence, and your willingness to serve. Thank you for the donation of your time and services Events by Lei and Jameesa Threatt! You were such a blessing and decorated our event beautifully! I know it’s always a mistake to start thanking people because someone is always left off, but I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the love of my life, James Long, for all of your assistance and running around today and for allowing me the time to serve in this role!
We are grateful for the partnership with E.P. Roberts Center and the Barnesville Housing Authority (BHA)! The Little Libraries are so very nice. They are at the E.P. ROBERTS Center, in the BHA community on Broyles Avenue, and the BHA Hillside Community! The biggest blessing was arriving at some of these boxes to fill them and finding some books already present!

Small Town Native African-American Physician Gives Back to Community with New Nonprofit
Dr. Tanika Long, a Barnesville native, has founded a new nonprofit organization, Full Circle of H.O.P.E., Inc.(FCOH) to help the community of Barnesville, GA/Lamar County. In this area, ~20% of people live in poverty, and the household income is directly proportional to the education level achieved. The purpose of FCOH is to positively impact the educational, social, spiritual, and physical lives of African American and other disadvantaged, marginalized students in Barnesville, GA/Lamar County.
